The 20th Khachaturian International Competition is launching on June 6. This year, the competition will be held in the Violin Category. Following the tradition, the opening ceremony and concert will be held on the birthday of the great composer.
The concert will be conducted by Sergey Smbatyan.
The winner of the 16th Khachaturian International Competition, violinist Diana Adamyan will perform as a soloist.
The program includes:
Aram Khachaturian - Pieces from the Ballet Suites “Spartacus”, 17 min
Aram Khachaturian - Violin Concerto in D minor, Op. 46, 40 min
I. Allegro con fermezza
II. Andante sostenuto
III. Allegro vivace
The competition will run from June 7 to 12 at Aram Khachaturian House-Museum.
During the competition rounds the entrance is free.
Time: 19:00.
Entrance allowed for children aged 6 and above.
