On November 10 at 19:00, the National Chamber Orchestra of Armenia will present a concert at the Komitas Chamber Music Hall featuring three harpsichord/piano concertos by Johann Sebastian Bach. These masterpieces of the Baroque era showcase a lively and expressive dialogue between the soloist and the orchestra.
The soloist for the evening is the internationally acclaimed pianist, the prize winner at Robert Schumann Competition, the Johann Sebastian Bach Competition, laureate of the Queen Elisabeth and the Sydney International Piano Competition, People’s Artist of Armenia, State Prize Laureate, Haydn Competition Laureate, Yerevan State Conservatory Professor Svetlana Navasardyan.
The concert will be conducted by German conductor Philipp Amelung, renowned for his refined musical interpretations and profound insight into Bach’s repertoire.

The commemorative concert is dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Zaven Vardanyan, Honored Art Worker of the Republic of Armenia, Artistic Director and Conductor of the Soloists’ Ensemble, Founder and President of the Wagner Society, the Armenian Bach, Armenian Shakespeare, and German-Austrian Music Friendship Societies, Professor at the State University of Cuenca (Ecuador), Director of the State Center of Armenian Sacred Music, and Founder, Artistic Director, and Principal Conductor of the Yerevan Chamber Orchestra.
