This is the story of a mother whose husband and 4 children die. The only remaining son, the 17-year-old Tony wants to go to war as his motherland is in danger. The mother tries to protect her only child by all means, keeping him away of the war.
"The mother" is about the endurance of the soul, selflessness, patriotism and infinite love for the homeland.
